Four Stars: ˜˜˜˜When I went to see this movie tonight, I had heard mixed reviews and I now understand them. This film represents a growing movement away from the extravagance that has earmarked the industry in recent years. It’s a simple but good movie. Devoid of special effects, sexual content, graphic violence, and notable stars, it merely retells a tale as old as time. A modern Beauty and the Beast, there are no surprise twists, but it was still wholly enjoyable.
