Man of La Mancha

Four Stars: ˜˜˜˜
The 1972 screen-adaptation of the Broadway hit based on Miguel Cervantes’ novel could have been a solid Five, had the lead roles been cast for musical talent instead of celebrity acting. Nevertheless, this film, set in the Spanish Inquisition, challenges the persecution which every society imposes upon dreamers and their supposedly impossible dreams. The music from this movie will stay with you, almost as much as the story itself.
